Revenge of the Sith was one of my favorite Star Wars movie, ranking only behind The Empire Strikes Back. I was glad to listen to its novelization, expertly done by the remarkable Jonathan Davis. The audio version came with all sorts of special sound effects and the like. As a writer, I can imagine how limiting it would be to write a novel of a movie where the dialogue and story has already been created. I would think that the writer would just try not to screw it up, and Matthew Stover certainly accomplishes that. His writing is professional. There were no major gaffes. He handled the characters the way they should be handled and stayed loyal to the script. It was an enjoyable listen, mostly due to the narration. I do a good bit of listening to audio books, and Jonathan Davis is the very best narrator I've listened to. For a Star Wars fan, this is clearly a worthwhile read.
